Sai Karthikey Pentapati

I am a Ph.D. student at Laboratory of Image and Video Engineering, The University of Texas at Austin, advised by Prof. Al Bovik. My research is focused on the compression and simplification of 3D representations for computer graphics, aiming to enable real-time and high-quality Virtual Reality applications. So far in my Ph.D., I have done multiple internships at great research labs such as Dolby's Advanced Technology Group and Ericsson Research.

Previously, I was a Lead Engineer at Samsung Research where I developed cutting-edge, AI-driven solutions for real-time image and video enhancement algorithms that were commercialized in Samsung Galaxy Mobile Phones. Before that in 2019, I received my Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from IIT Guwahati, where I served as the Project Manager of Robotics Club IITG.
